Help Us Hold Bush Accountable

By Robert Parry
April 15, 2009

Since the start of March alone, Consortiumnews.com has published 32 stories that have addressed the issue of holding George W. Bush and his top aides accountable for war crimes. Over the previous months, we had published dozens more.

Our work in defense of traditional American principles – such as human rights and the rule of law – stands in marked contrast to the neglect of these issues that has been apparent in most of the mainstream U.S. news media. For instance, the Washington Post published a glowing front-page report last Saturday about ex-President Bush’s happy new life in Texas.

However, if we are to continue to do our part in keeping up the pressure for accountability, we need your help. In our spring fundraiser, we have raised only about half our goal of $40,000. So please give what you can.

You can make a tax-deductible donation either by credit card online or by mailing a check to:

Consortium for Independent Journalism; 2200 Wilson Blvd.; Suite 102-231; Arlington VA 22201

(For readers wanting to use PayPal, you can address contributions to our account, which is named "[email protected].").

For a donation of $100, we will send you a gift, autographed copy of Neck Deep in paperback (or another book by Robert Parry, either Lost History or Secrecy & Privilege – just tell us your choice).

For a donation of $150 or more, we will send the hard cover of Neck Deep.
Thanks for your support.

Robert Parry, Editor

Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories in the 1980s for the Associated Press and Newsweek. He founded Consortiumnews.com in 1995 as the Internet's first investigative magazine. He saw it as a way to combine modern technology and old-fashioned journalism to counter the increasing triviality of the mainstream U.S. news media.
