Limbaugh's $400 Million; Our $40,000
We don’t want to be counted as part of Phil Gramm’s “nation of whiners,” but we are disappointed that our mid-year fund-raiser is coming up so short.
We never expected anything like Rush Limbaugh’s $400 million, but $40,000 – or one-hundredth of 1 percent of Limbaugh’s contract – didn’t seem that unreasonable. Yet, we haven’t reached even one-half of our goal.
So, we’ve decided to cut the goal by half, to only $20,000. That does mean we will have to reduce what we cover and what we can pay our writers, but please help us reach at least that modest target.
