We are replacing iF Magazine with a new print publication, American Dispatches, available in February 2000. It will carry both our own investigative journalism and selections of the best original work on the Internet. 

The chief reason for the change was our failure to lock down a matching URL, ifmagazine.com, which was claimed by an independent film organization. We will be opening a new Internet site for American Dispatches at americandispatches.com. We intend for this new site to carry daily news updates as well as information from the new print publication.

Our goal, however, remains the same: to produce honest journalism within the Constitutional vision of the press corps as a guardian of democracy.
